El Europeo is a biweekly newspaper that gives a new perspective on digital media by analysing not only the news, but also the publications that are printing it. EL EUROPEO is run by the Associació Pàgina 13, based in Barcelona, Spain. Also, because of the number of journalists writing the content a bespoke design was also built into the CMS.
Role: Identity, Design, Development, CMS (ExpressionEngine).
This project is the first in a series of Tumblr themes I've planned to release this year. The design is very simple and offers a clean and clear way to access and read the author's posts. Technically, it offers a way for the user to view the notes in-line without having to get lost in a haze of redirects, as well as offering a simple way of postingyo a comment.
Role: Design, Development, CMS (Tumblr).
Your own site is almost always the most difficult to finish just because now your the Client; however, after some initial mis-directions I soon got the sites layout on track and built the rest of the design around a simple 12-column grid and monochromatic colour scheme punctuated with a bright yellow. Development wise, it's all hand-coded in HTML5 & CSS3.
Role: Identity, Design, Development, CMS (ExpressionEngine & Tumblr).
Jeezvanilla is the online home of Illustrator and designer Adriana Bellet. The Client wanted a simple design with a horizontal portfolio. As the Client was not technical I took the content of the portfolio (both image and text) from her Flickr set, and built it into a custom ExpressionEngine build. The result was a dynamic and easy to manage website.
Role: Design, Development, CMS (ExpressionEngine).
The brief was to provide schools with a medium to receive positive publicity ahead of the end of the (school) year. Built for teachers and students, we setup a social network that allowed them to showcase this celebration at the end of the year through photos, video, and blogs; result: over 4000 members took part in its first year triggering assoc. press releases.
Role: Identity, Design, Development.
Yimple is a rebrand of an existing yearbook site, that allows schools a wonderful way to record the memories and achievements of their School year group. The original site was tailored to the under-12s, while Yimple appealed to the secondary-school market, and proved very successful both online and off, at trade-shows and school conventions.
Role: Identity, Design, Development, CMS (Wordpress).
This web-to-print Web application provides a way for the user to build a high-quality book with coloured photographs and text, all from the comfort of their home/office/school. Built on-top-of an existing technology, it's design was rebuilt for a user learning within the application, requiring the production and editing of video content for the help section.
Role: Identity, Design, Development, Video-editing (Final Cut Pro).
This site provides a method for both Undertakers and the bereaved to create an order of service from within the comfort of their home or office. The project was used both by independent Funeral homes and chains, such as CO-OP, as well as the general public. The site links into a web application that sources content, before building the booklet.
Role: Design & Development (front-end).
